Increase Safety & Comfort When Cutting Narrow Pieces of Stock

Safety, repeatability, confidence, accuracy: these are the things that you want to know are in place when starting work at your router table or shaper cutter. For years, making vertical cope cuts against a router table fence has been a precarious operation. With the Infinity Tools Vertical Router Sled, you'll be able to hold your work securely and safely against a router table or shaper cutter machine. With this sled, you're putting 41 of the highest quality, precision machined components between yourself and the cutting edge. You're able to hold work in perfect position against your fence and eliminate the vibrations that can cause damage to your work, your cutters, and yourself.

The fence's clamping bars are fully adjustable, can tilt up to 45° for making mitered cuts, and can hold work pieces as wide 8-1/8" at 90° or 2-7/8" at 45° tilt. Included with the VRS-100 Vertical Router Sled is one adjustable toggle clamp that increases the sled's work holding capability on materials up to 1" thick. If you need additional holding power on wider work pieces, just pick up the Accessory Clamping Kit (item: 100-526.VRS).

This unique sled features two CNC machined aluminum right-angle brackets which keep the surface of your work at a perfect 90°, as well as an adjustable foot. When routing thinner stock, the adjustable foot creates a second point of contact against the fence which keeps the sled from coming out of alignment during the cut.

Use the Infinity Tools Vertical Router Sled in your workshop if you place a premium on doing your work safely, cleanly, and correctly - in that order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Vertical Router Sled used for?

It holds tall, narrow stock securely and vertically for cope cuts and mitered joinery on a router table, shaper, or table saw, eliminating the vibration that can ruin your work and cutters. See more router jigs & guides.

How wide a workpiece can it hold?

The sled holds stock as wide as 8-1/8" at 90 degrees and up to 2-7/8" at a 45-degree tilt.

How thick a piece can the toggle clamp secure?

The included adjustable toggle clamp secures material up to 1" thick. For wider work, you can add the Accessory Clamping Kit (item 100-526.VRS).

Can it make mitered cuts?

Yes. The fence clamping bars tilt up to 45 degrees, with lateral positioning from 45 to 90 degrees, so you can make mitered joinery for all kinds of projects.

What is the sled made of?

It is constructed of CNC-machined HDPE and aircraft-grade aluminum components, including two CNC-machined aluminum right-angle brackets that hold your work at a perfect 90 degrees.

What does the adjustable foot do?

When routing thinner stock, the adjustable foot creates a second point of contact against the fence, keeping the sled from drifting out of alignment during the cut.

What is the maximum cutter height it works with?

The sled supports a maximum cutter height of 2-1/8" and a maximum fence height of 6".

Can I get more clamping power for wider pieces?

Yes. Pick up the Accessory Clamping Kit (item 100-526.VRS) to add an extra clamp and fittings for holding wider workpieces securely.

Why use this instead of holding stock by hand?

It puts 41 precision-machined components between you and the cutting edge, holding work in perfect position and eliminating dangerous vibration for safer, cleaner, more repeatable cuts.

What else pairs well with it?

Combine it with router templates for repeatable parts and circle-cutting jigs for curved work.
