T-Bushings For 1/2" Diameter Spindle Shaper Cutters, 3-Pc. Sets

Regular price $12.90

Style

Our 2-Pc. t-bushing set and 3-Pc. t-bushing Sets are designed to adapt larger-bore shaper cutters to smaller spindles. Typical applications include taking a 3/4" bore shaper cutter and reducing the inside diameter to 1/2" with our t-bushing sets. Use these two bushing sets to reduce 3/4" bore shaper cutters down to 1/2" I.D. So if you have a 1/2" diameter spindle you can use larger shaper cutters with 3/4" bore. These two sets include either a short or longer middle bushing when you need to adapt a taller cutter stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 2-piece and 3-piece T-bushing sets?

The 3-piece sets add a middle bushing between the two T-flanges to support a taller cutter stack. The 2-piece sets are for shorter, single cutters. See more shaper cutter accessories.

How many pieces are in these sets?

Each set includes three pieces: a 2-piece T-bushing plus a 1-piece straight middle bushing.

Which set works with the 83-030/031 cutters?

Choose BUS-103, which includes a 2-Pc. 1/2" x 3/4" T-bushing plus a 1-Pc. straight bushing for the cabinet door rail & stile sets 83-030/031.

Which set works with the 83-040 door cutter set?

Choose BUS-104, which includes a 2-Pc. 1/2" x 3/4" T-bushing plus a 1-Pc. straight bushing for the interior/exterior door set 83-040.

Can I run 3/4" bore cutters on a 1/2" spindle with these?

Yes. These sets reduce a 3/4" bore cutter down to a 1/2" inside diameter, letting a 1/2" spindle run larger 3/4" bore cutters. Browse compatible shaper cutters.

What does the middle bushing do?

It bridges the gap between the two T-flanges, and comes in a short or longer length so you can match it to the height of your cutter stack.

What does the 1/2" x 3/4" sizing mean?

The first number (1/2") is the inside diameter that fits your spindle, and the second (3/4") is the outside diameter that matches the cutter bore.

Why use a bushing instead of buying new cutters?

A bushing lets you run larger-bore cutters you already own on a smaller spindle, saving the cost of duplicate tooling. Explore more shaper cutter accessories.

Who makes these T-bushing sets?

They are made by Infinity Cutting Tools.

Are these for shaper cutters or router bits?

These bushings are for shaper cutters. If you also use a router, browse our router bits selection.
