These Are Your Lungs On Mirka Abranet Sanding Discs

Some woodworkers like to say "I bleed sawdust," but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who happily says "I breathe sawdust." That's why Mirka Abrasives have come up with a safer way to sand. Abranet Sanding Discs are made of a polyamide nylon fabric where a normal sanding disc would be made of paper. Abrasive grains are bonded to that fabric, which allows air to pass through across the pad's entire surface area, whereas a paper disc would only allow suction through a limited number of pre-cut holes. The result of this brilliant design innovation is a sanding disc that can completely pull fine sanding dust through your sander's vacuum system, virtually eliminating the chance for dust to escape from under the pad into the air you breath.

But the benefits of the Mirka Abranet Mesh Sanding Discs don't stop at improving your health safety. These discs will also outlast and out perform traditional paper sanding discs in every way. The woven fibers of the disc prevents the buildup of dust clumps that can reduce the efficiency of your sander and leave unwanted marks on your work piece. Combine that increased dust clearing efficiency with the rugged durability of the nylon material and what you get is a sanding disc that will outlive every paper product you've ever tried before that gets the job done more cleanly and in less time.

Start with the 80 grit discs and before you know it you'll be finished wet sanding in 600 grit for a surface so smooth you'll swear it was hand planed.
