Milescraft 45° Crown Miter Jig

1 Review
$32.90

The Easiest And Most Intuitive Crown Molding Jig On The Market!

The Milescraft Crown 45 Miter Jig makes cutting crown molding as easy as it should be. The secret to what makes this THE best crown molding jig is the common-sense way it holds your material. This intuitive jig allows you to "Cut It The Way You See It" by supporting the crown molding on your miter saw fence the same way it will be seen and installed on the wall. By eliminating the "Upside Down and Backwards" from crown molding projects you'll have fewer costly mistakes, saving both time and money. This is a big improvement over inferior jigs.

More Great Features include:

  • "Cut It The Way You See It" - No More "Upside Down And Backwards" cutting
  • Quickly Adjustable angle settings - Works with common molding spring angles (38°, 45°, & 52°)
  • Angle Finders included - Easily determine the spring angle of your molding
  • Wide indented cutting surface
  • Supports all crown moldings between 2" and 5.5"
  • Accommodates special dentil style detailed moldings
  • Collapsible design - For compact storage
  • Cut finished molding with no break out on the finished surface
  • Saw blade enters the material from the front and minimizes tear-out due to its unique orientation

use a miter settings chart instead

I didn't know how to cut compound miters "on the flat", bought the "Crown 45" and use for awhile. the plastic pieces are loose and can be a hassle to use. Finally I read a fine wood working article on cutting crown molding on the flat, set the miter to 33.9 and angle to 31.6 to make miters for a 52 spring crown molding. Inside and outside, left and right cuts takes thought and planning, trial and error. I no longer use the "Crown 45", and low and behold found a whole list of settings that came with my Delta manual.
