MicroJIG MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp AP

It slides into a 14°, 1/2" dovetail slot, letting you clamp almost anywhere you've cut that slot.

It is the MJG-221, MicroJIG's MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp AP.

The AP clamp has a larger clamp capacity, comes standard with an X-Pad foot, and adds an Anti-Pivot Spring that keeps the clamp arm from dropping during repetitive clamping.

Any 14°, 1/2" dovetail bit can be used with the MATCHFIT hardware to cut the slot the clamps slide into. Browse our clamping tools to round out the system.

The MATCHFIT dovetail slot is as strong as T-track but is more stable and easier to cut than slots made with T-slot bits, and it doesn't require buying dedicated T-track.

It is made by MicroJIG as part of their MATCHFIT dovetail-slot clamping system.

The Anti-Pivot Spring keeps the clamp arm from dropping during repetitive clamping operations, making the clamp faster and easier to use in production work.

Pretty much any jig, clamping apparatus, or sled can be created on the fly, since the dovetail slot turns nearly any surface into a clamping surface.

The Dovetail Clamp AP is purpose-built for the MATCHFIT dovetail slot, but it complements traditional bar clamps and vises in a well-equipped shop.

T-track isn't always available, isn't cheap, and is risky to hit with an expensive router bit. A dovetail slot is cut with a standard dovetail bit and is strong, stable, and easy to add wherever you need clamping.
