The Incra I-BOX Jig Makes Beautiful Box Joints, Fast & Easy!

To get right to the point, the INCRA I-Box is the most advanced tool ever produced for creating a stunning variety box joints & finger joints. It features fast setup for basic joints, plus advanced capability for unique decorative joints. Its revolutionary design allows greater versatility and improved user safety compared to traditional jigs. This single jig can be used on both your table saw and your router table, and the I-Box's dual-pitch lead screw mechanics easily micro-adjust joint tightness and provide a whopping 1/8" - 3/4" range of pin widths in lumber up to 1" thick.

The advantages continue beyond the basics: INCRA I-Box-exclusive box joints like the Center Keyed Box Joint can be used to produce symmetric patterns on a wider variety of lumber widths than traditional jigs, making it easier to adapt box joints to existing project plans. Taking the Center Keyed joint a step further, the Splined Box Joint is yet another INCRA-only decorative joint that's guaranteed to add wow-factor to your projects.

As a bonus, the I-Box can even be used to produce classic dentil moldings! Altering the spacing between cuts and height of the cutter lets you change the moulding's proportions to create a nearly infinite variety. And Nothing says "Craftsmanship" like adding solid wood hinges to your projects. The I-Box can be used in conjunction with the INCRA HingeCrafter to produce wooden hinges in four different barrel diameters and in lengths up to 10". And to make sure you get to use all of the jigs' awesome features, we've include a 1-hour instructional DVD that covers everything from basic setup to advanced decorative joinery.

The INCRA I-Box is packed with innovative features:

  • Use it on your table saw or router table to cut great looking box joints with a stacking-type dado blade, dedicated box joint blade set, or straight router bits.
  • Reversible design works on either side of the cutter Exclusive dual-pitch lead screw mechanism for fast micro-adjusting and a broad 1/8" - 3/4" range of pin widths.
  • Exclusive INCRA GlideLOCK miter bar fits standard 3/4" x 3/8" miter slots with a 0.740" - 0.762" adjustment range.
  • Front and rear blade guards; front guard also stabilizes boards vertically and is adjustable for 1/8" to 1" lumber thicknesses for box joints or even thicker for other applications.
  • The wide fence allows clamping lumber securely into position while cutting much better than hand-holding boards, especially when joining small or large lumber (hand screw clamp not included).
  • Reversible & reusable MDF sub fence dramatically reduces or eliminates tea rout.

Super product

With the iBox, it is extremely simple to make box joints. I produced in one afternoon all box joints for the fronts, backs and sides for 10 drawers. The product payed itself of on that first day.

I have a small Rockwell Wood Shaper with a 1/2" arbor and 1HP motor. Do you supply cutters for such a machine? See more »
5 years ago
Any of our Shape Up Line of shaper cutters can be used on your machine. Because you have a 1/2" spindle, you will need a set of reducing T-bushings to adapt the 3/4" bore of the cutters to your spindle. https://www.infinitytools.com/shaper-...

Looking for a panel cutter for 5.2mm plywood. We just purchased the 15 degree shaper set. We have the 1/4" and the 5.5mm cutters but we usually use 5.2mm plywood. Do you have that available? See more »

Does the 83-034 set come with a 5.5 mm slot cutter and bearing to match? See more »
5 years ago
Our 83-034 Shaker Rail & Stile cutter set comes standard to make a 1/4" groove. For a 5.5mm groove you would also need part number 83-038. The 83-038 kit will replace the spacer in the rail cutter and the slot cutter in the stile cutter to make a 5.5mm groove for the panel.

Hi there. 83-034 shaker cutters. Which direction should they run (forward or reverse) and at what rpm? What feed direction should be used? See more »
6 years ago
These are designed to run face down in standard rotation (counter clockwise). You can always flip them over and run face up reverse rotation (clockwise) At 2-5/8" diameter. 10,000 to 12,000 rpm should work fine.
