The brass head is hand-turned from 360 brass rod, extruded in a mill, and beautifully hand-polished. One face features our finely crafted, high-quality Delrin Tip that is securely locked into place. This Delrin tip offers the quick availability of a softer end when the need arises, such as seating a plane wedge in a traditional hand plane. Use the brass face to adjust the depth and lateral adjustment of a plane iron without damaging the iron. A properly seasoned hickory handle is turned and then pressed into the finished brass head and secured with a brass pin.
