Armor Auto-Pro Horizontal Dog Clamp, 3/4" Peg

The Dog Hole and Bench Dog have been long-lived features on most woodworking benches, but that doesn't mean it can't benefit from modern engineering. Armor Tool's Auto-Pro Horizontal Dog Clamp features a quick-release handle and built-in pressure adjustment screw, so you can apply anything from a light touch on up to 400 pounds of clamping pressure on anything from simple panels to your most awkwardly shaped woodworking projects.

Clamp includes one 7.5" long x 3/4" diameter Spiral Aluminum Dog Peg that allows you to clamp up to 5.5" above the table surface with a 3.5" reach. An interchangeable 7.5" x 20mm diameter peg is available should you have a European style bench.

Features Include:

  • Adjustable clamping pressure - Built-in pressure adjustment screw allows you to turn right for more pressure and left for less
  • Interchangeable Aluminum Dog Peg - Fits into any 3/4" diameter bench dog hole for a full 360° range of rotation and up to 5.5" of clearance above the tabletop..
    • Included 7.5" long x 3/4" diameter spindle can be replaced with a 20mm diameter model for European style benchtops.
  • Pivoting Spindle Base - Great for clamping on odd shapes or angles, the pivoting spindle base automatically adjusts to variations in work piece dimensions while maintaining clamping pressure
  • Large Handle - Easy to apply quick-release handle lets you control how much pressure you're putting down

Uses in your shop:

  • Hold down almost any object to your worktable's surface with just the right amount of clamping pressure for each application

Once set up properly, very quick and easy to use and reuse.

So far these are working very well for our needs. We clamp to pieces of sheet metal together that we have applied adhesive to. They are staying stuck.

What? Not offered with 20mm post?

I use this in the Festool MFT which has 20mm holes. I would have bought more if they were offered with a 20mm post in lieu of .75 inch. Had to spend an additional $10 to get the post 20mm post. This needs to be offered with either .75 inch or 20mm post.
