Regular price $19.90

Build Professional Jigs & Fixtures With Our Self Adhesive Slick Tape!

Our UHMW self-sticking slick tape adds the perfect finishing touch to your home made jig or fixture. It's slippery properties make it especially useful on your table saw or bandsaw fence, router table fence, miter gauges or other woodworking tools. In fact, we've found so many uses around the shop for this slick tape that we don't know how we survived so long without it. Wherever you need to increase sliding action on metal, wood, concrete, tile, stone or other surfaces - you're going to love what Slick Strips do for you. At a full .030" thick, our UHMW tape is the most durable self stick tape available. The extra thickness makes it perfect to use in hi-abrasion locations such as underneath a coping sled, miter gauge or drawers.

Made from Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene, this very tough material has the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made. It is highly resistant to corrosion, has extremely low moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of friction (comparable to that of Teflon). It's better than Teflon for making woodworking jigs because it is more resistant to abrasion and is self-lubricating. One piece measures .035" thick x 3" wide x 60" long. It's very easy to use, either put the "Slick Strip" on the ITEM or the SURFACE to create slickness. If you put the Slick Strip on BOTH, you get extreme slickness. Mounting is done via a pressure sensitive adhesive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the dimensions of this UHMW slick tape?

One piece measures .035" thick x 3" wide x 60" long. The extra thickness makes it durable in high-abrasion locations.

What material is the slick tape made from?

It's made from Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMW), a very tough material with the highest impact strength of any thermoplastic currently made.

Is UHMW better than Teflon for woodworking jigs?

Yes. While its coefficient of friction is comparable to Teflon, UHMW is better for woodworking jigs because it's more resistant to abrasion and is self-lubricating.

How do I apply the slick tape?

Mounting is done via a pressure-sensitive adhesive. Apply the strip to the item or to the surface to create slickness; apply it to both for extreme slickness.

Where should I use this tape in my shop?

What surfaces will the tape stick to and slide on?

It increases sliding action on metal, wood, concrete, tile, stone, and other surfaces, making it versatile across many shop applications.

Is it resistant to moisture and corrosion?

Yes. UHMW is highly resistant to corrosion and has extremely low moisture absorption, which helps it hold up well in a shop environment.

Will it hold up in high-wear areas?

Yes. At a full .035" thick, it's described as the most durable self-stick tape available, making it ideal for high-abrasion spots like coping sleds, miter gauges, and drawers.

Who makes this UHMW slick tape?

It's made by Infinity Cutting Tools as part of its line of shop supplies and fixture-building materials.

Can I use it to improve drawer slides?
