Forged from chromium-vanadium steel and heat treated to 59 HRc, this spoon chisel has a stained European beech wood handle that has been formed to an octagonal barrel shape for excellent comfort and control.

With their curved necks, the carver using a spoon type gouge is able to gain extra leverage and achieve cutting angles that aren't possible for straight-neck gouges.
