An Ingenious Product for Flawless Dadoes without Measuring!
Simple and easy to use, the MATCHFIT Dado Stop sets the shoulders of your dado using the actual part that will be fitted in the dado for a perfect fit without measuring or test cuts. No hassles, no tricky measurements, just perfect-fitting dado cuts.
Using the MATCHFIT Dado Stop is simple. Use a sample of the piece that will fit into the dado to set the position of the legs of the dado stop. This defines the outside shoulders of your dado. Make two cuts, then clear away the waste in between for a perfect, gap-free joint.
You can also use the Dado Stop as a crosscut stop to make repetitive cuts on multiple workpieces for identical lengths. The precise 3” length allows you to accurately set the rip fence position for repeatable, accurate cuts quickly and easily.
Make dado cuts even easier when you pick up the MATCHFIT Setup Gauge (item MDS-211)
The MATCHFIT Setup Gauge works in conjunction with the Dado Stop to make setting the position of the dado arms even quicker. It also allows you to set the perfect height for clearance slots and dovetail grooves when creating tracks for Matchfit Dovetail clamps.

Misleading demo
Product looked great for getting tight fitting dados, so ordered one. Once I actually tried to use it to make a dado in a panel longer than the back of my table saw's fence, couldn't figure out how to do it. Might have missed something, but don't see how. Now I use it to check my table saw's distance from the blade gauge, until I can use it to make short dados.
