Make beautiful serving trays with your router and our tray templates. By gluing-up your scrap stock (2" thick seems to work best) and using different species of wood you can make truly beautiful serving trays. Use this star-shaped template to make chip & dip, cheese & cracker and even candy trays. All of these trays look good enough to display on your kitchen table full-time but don't be surprised if your friends ask you to make a tray for them!
We C.N.C. machine the 1/2" thick MDF templates for precision and pre-drill and countersink mounting holes to make attaching to your work piece fast and easy, no double-sided tape required! We recommend using our large Acrylic router base, item: 115-032 for extra support when routing the trays. We also carry a natural food-safe Finish and Tung Oil which really makes your trays stand out. These food safe finishes are FDA approved to use on any project that is intended for food contact. Detailed step-by-step instructions included.
NOTE:
Our router template shapes take up most of the space on their 15-1/2” by 15-1/2” plates. We recommend you make your blanks to match the size of our plates so that you have enough room to cut the shapes out and still have strong and thick side walls. This way your trays will last you for years to come.
