The Infinity Tools Drill Press table is designed to securely hold your work piece while using drill bits and Forstner bits when woodworking. The Drill Press is an indispensable tool, but it was designed for working with metal, not wood. The small factory tables are made to hold dedicated metalworking vises that leave much to be desired when it comes to making precise holes in woodworking projects.
Sturdy Table Construction
The Infinity Professional Drill Press Table is designed to fit 12” to 20” drill presses and gives you lots of clamping options when woodworking. The large 16” x 24” (15-1/4” x 23-1/4”) table is made of a sturdy 1” premium plycore construction with tough Microdot laminate surface and is “balance laminated” on the bottom to guarantee that it remains smooth, stiff and flat. Our top includes four pieces of ¼-20 t-tracks running front to back, so you’ll have lots of clamping options for all your wood drilling needs. We also provide a center insert made of ½” thick material that is easily replaceable and allows you to drill through-holes up to 4” in diameter without damaging the surrounding table top.
DPF-200 Dust Extraction Fence
Our new Professional Drill Press Fence (DPF-200) solves many common, as well as advanced, drilling needs. It provides solid registration for your drilled holes, and dust and chip extraction, courtesy of the aluminum extruded fence with built-in dust port and included adaptor for shop vac hoses. Breathe easier and work safer without dust and debris in the air, thanks to our integrated dust collection system. The dust port can easily be switched to either end of the fence to best fit your shop set-up. Included in this package is our flip stop (FSS-DPF) built specifically for our dust collection drill press fence!
Fast & Easy Installation
The two included toggle clamps and screws allow the Infinity Drill Press Table to easily mount to drill presses with open or closed t-slots. Unlike other woodworking drill press tables, ours can be removed in a matter of seconds and reinstalled just as quickly. Made for Woodworking
Most drill press tables are pretty basic, and don’t offer much in the way of work holding options, let alone precision stops or dust collection. All that has changed with Infinity Tools DPT-200 drill press table package with PRO fence. Every detail has been worked out, with all the features you demand, and the best part – it works with just about any make or model drill press.
Thick Table, Solid Fence
The full 1” thick plycore top is laminated top and bottom for a flat stable surface, and it’s been milled to receive four T-Tracks. Those work perfect to not only secure the extruded aluminum fence, but also secure the two heavy-duty hold-down clamps included in the DPT-200 kit. Or they work with just about any standard T-Track accessory utilizing ¼” or 5/16” T-bolts, or standard ¼” hardware store bolts.
Where the Magic Happens
The aluminum fence is purpose built and designed from the ground up with dust collection in mind. The hollow extrusion forms a perfect vacuum chamber to whisk away dust and chips from the ambidextrous 2-1/4” dust fitting that can conveniently be mounted on the left or right side. Choose your optimal dust collection layout, and enjoy clean drilling for more accurate work.
Give Me Accessories Galore
The 16 x 24” table surface and multiple T-Tracks offer multiple options for securing your workpiece. And the precision PRO drill press fence is the perfect guide for repeated holes drilled along the edge of a board. Tracks on the top of the fence also accept special flip-stops that swing down when you need them, and flip out of the way when not in use. The DPT-200 kit includes one flip-stop, but you may want to add a second stop for mirrored drilling operations on both sides of a project piece, without repositioning the stop. Be sure to order the FSS-DPF flip stop to match the height of the Pro drill press fence.
Precision Throughout
The tabletop surface features a long-wearing microdot surface, and the attention to detail is clear everywhere you look. An end-cap seals off the vacuum chamber fence, and works just as well on the left side as it does the right. Typically, the tall knobs to secure the fence are mounted in the outside T-tracks, but the inside tracks are also available to suit your particular drill press.
That’s One Clean Machine
Your shop and drill press have never been this clean. Whether you’re drilling hardwood, softwood, or cabinet grade plywood, the PRO fence sweeps away the mess for you. Dust collection on a drill press may seem like a luxury at first glance, but if you’ve ever used a setup like this, it would be hard to go back to a basic big-box store drill press. Plus, a clean shop is a healthy shop, and the DPT-200 kit goes a long way to make that happen.
Go Ahead - Tear it Up
Another thing a basic drill press won’t offer is a sacrificial insert – something very important to avoid tearout on the bottom of your workpiece. The Infinity system has you covered here with a simple rectangular insert that lays flat with the table, and requires no adjustment. You can source a three-pack of inserts from Infinity (part #DPT-IP3) or just batch out some yourself from common ½” thick MDF. The finger holes milled in the table offer easy access, and you’ll discover they can be rotated or flipped for up to four fresh surfaces per insert.
Truly Flush, Every Time
Yeah, but do the inserts actually sit flush with the table? We checked with a precision 46” straightedge (part #PSE-100) and the insert sits dead flush with the micro-dot top. All this accuracy with a simple drop-in fit, and no fiddling with set screws under the table.
OK, But Will it Fit My Drill Press?
One unique aspect of this high-quality table is the location of the rectangular insert. It’s positioned offset front-to-back, to maximize mounting layouts and compatibility with your machine. The sacrificial insert is 5-1/2” from one side, and 3-5/8” from the other side. The longer distance happened to perfectly match the cast iron table on the Laguna DP20 in our test shop, but you can reverse the table if the shorter dimension works better for you.
Two Ways to Mount Table
You’ll find a pair of robust toggle style clamps included in the table kit, which offer a great quick-release mounting method. If you do a mix of woodworking and metal working, the ability to quickly remove the table may be an asset in your shop. If a more permanent mount is appealing, consider attaching your new top with screws or bolts + threaded inserts from underneath.
Adjustable for Any Situation
If your drill press already has T-Tracks, you’ll be pleased to learn the mounting brackets are adjustable. Just loosen the two Allen bolts on each bracket, and slide them down the track in the fence extrusion to match your table.
