The cutter radius determines the size of the roundover and related profiles. Larger radii (up to 1/2" on the 27-627) create a more pronounced curve, while smaller radii give a subtler edge.

A router table is recommended for the larger diameters and for plunge-cutting rosettes, giving better control and safety. The 1/2" shank also works in a handheld router for edge work.
