BORA Self Adjusting In-Line Dog Clamp

Regular price $64.90

BORA Auto-Pro In-Line Dog Clamp

Turn any workbench with 20mm or 3/4" diameter dog holes into a complete clamping station without the need for a miter track. Simply drop the BORA Auto-Pro In-Line Dog Clamp into a dog hole on your work surface, set the position, and rotate the lock knob to secure the clamp firmly in place. The Split Dog Peg allows for full 360° rotation before setting within the dog hole while the auto-adjust clamping toggle puts exactly the right amount of pressure on your work and keeps it there.

You can adjust the clamping pressure with the built in adjustment screw before engaging the hardened steel push rod, so each work piece gets just the right amount of pressure applied. The clamp face is made of softened non-marring plastic and features a v-groove to allow you to clamp down on corners or rounded surfaces.

Features Include:

  • Adjustable clamping pressure - Built-in pressure adjustment screw allows you to turn right for more pressure and left for less
  • Versatile Split Dog Peg - Fits into any 20mm (European standard) or 3/4" (US standard) sized bench dog hole for a full 360° range of rotation
  • Hardened Steel Push Rod and Large Handle - Up to 3.5" of range to clamp even the most awkward work in place
  • Hardened Plastic Tip with Non-Marring Pad - A built-in center notch allows for corner and rounded material clamping
  • Rotating Lock Knob - Turn this knob to expand the Split Dog Peg in your bench's dog hole and prevent it from moving and loosen the knob when you want to reposition again
  • Works best in work tables with minimum thickness of 3/4"

Uses in your shop:

  • The Auto-Pro In-Line Dog Clamp is a great solution for any clamping operation that requires you to put outward pressure against an object
  • Great substitute for an end vice if you don't have one on your table

Frequently Asked Questions

What size dog holes does the BORA in-line clamp fit?

The Split Dog Peg fits any 20mm (European standard) or 3/4" (US standard) bench dog hole, giving a full 360 degree range of rotation before you set it.

How much clamping range does it have?

The hardened steel push rod offers up to 3.5" of range, enough to clamp even awkward or oversized workpieces.

Can I adjust the clamping pressure?

Yes. A built-in pressure adjustment screw lets you turn right for more pressure and left for less, and the auto-adjust toggle keeps consistent pressure on the work.

Will it mark or dent my workpiece?

No. The clamp tip is a hardened plastic with a non-marring pad, and a built-in center notch lets you clamp corners and rounded material safely.

Do I need a miter track to use this clamp?

No. It drops directly into a dog hole, so any bench with 20mm or 3/4" dog holes becomes a clamping station without a miter track. See more clamping tools.

How thick should my workbench be?

The clamp works best in work tables with a minimum thickness of 3/4" so the Split Dog Peg can lock securely.

How does it lock into the bench?

Rotating the lock knob expands the Split Dog Peg inside the dog hole to prevent it from moving. Loosen the knob when you want to reposition or remove it.

Who makes this dog clamp?

It is the BORA Auto-Pro In-Line Dog Clamp, made by BORA Tool. Explore more vises and workholding for your shop.

Can it replace an end vise?

Yes. It is described as a great substitute for an end vise if your table does not have one, making it ideal for any operation that puts outward pressure against an object.

Can it clamp rounded or corner pieces?

Yes. The clamp face has a v-groove with a center notch specifically for clamping down on corners or rounded surfaces. Pair it with our bar clamps for larger glue-ups.
