Rounding over the corner of a tabletop or shelf usually results in a shop-wide scavenge hunt for a can, bottle, or jar with just the right radius. Once found and marked, cutting that radius can be difficult to get smooth and consistent results. This is where the Infinity 4-Pc. Corner Radius Guide Set (CRT-002) really shines.
Perfect For Use At The Router Table
Unlike other templates and jigs, these corner radius guides hook onto the corner of your workpiece and are comfortably held in place while routing. This makes them extremely quick and easy to use. The Corner Radius Guides are designed specifically for use with a flush trim router bit in your router table. We recommend using a 1/2" diameter or smaller router bit for best results.
Made of precision-machined aluminum, these guides are exceptionally accurate. Each is hard anodized, creating a durable finish that we think looks great. Each guide is also laser marked on both sides for identification. Because each guide has two different radii, this 4-pc. set gives you 8 different routing options. 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/2" radius corners are all easy to make.
Protect Your Tools
The optional fitted storage case keeps everything safe and organized. The case itself is sturdy with dual latches that ensure it won't pop open accidentally. Also, the molded carry handle makes this case easy to transport when working on the job site. Each Corner Radius Guide fits securely in the custom-molded foam insert eliminating any chance of damage.
Easy to Use
Unlike other radius jigs, the Infinity Tools 4-Pc. Corner Radius Guide Set (CRT-002) requires no screws, clamps, or double-sided tape to attach and set up. By contrast, these guides simply hook over the corner of your workpiece and you're ready to route. Setup is also easy; install your flush trim router bit into your router table (we recommend either a 1/2" or 1/4" diameter up-cut flush trim router bit) and adjust the bit height so that the bearing rides against the edge of the guide. Make sure that the cutting edge of the router bit is set high enough to fully cut the workpiece. Hold the guide in place with one hand while feeding the workpiece with the other. That's it!
One concern new users sometimes have is what if the router bit accidentally touches the edge of the guide? This is a great question. The answer is that in the vast majority of cases, there is absolutely nothing wrong. Because the cutting edge of the router bit must overlap the bottom of the guide just a little it's common for the cutter to just touch the guide leaving a small shiny spot of raw aluminum along the very bottom edge of the guide. Don't worry, this won't damage your router bit or affect the function of the jig in any way.
If you're tired of struggling with inferior templates or making do with no template at all, the 4-Pc. Corner Radius Guide Set (CRT-002) is a great, time-saving choice.
