I’m glad that I was able to plug my table saw directly into this switch. I could not tell from the advertisement if I could do this or not. I thought that I might have to splice my power cord into this device. A better picture of the cords and sockets would have helped.

This switch is a traditional contact switch, like a light switch this will remain active even if the power goes off and comes back on. I believe you are looking for a magnetic power safety switch.
