My doweling jig was a gift so I didn't have any personal experience with infinity. This showed up at my door and I was delighted.

I need to make 1.5 " wide by 1.75" deep dados with an underpowered (2 hp) cabinet saw. Can I use the 8" dadonator safely by making repeated shallow passes, increasing the depth of cut by about 1/2" to 3/4" on each pass? Thanks for your reply. See more »

Yes, I think your plan sounds perfectly acceptable. I would personally follow the same procedure on a larger saw. 2 HP is fine to run the 8" Dadonator.

Hi, would the 8" Dadonator be compatible with a SawStop cabinet saw? I am assuming that I would need the 8" one as it would have to be close to the safety brake. Additionally, I see that it is made in Italy, is the diameter truly an exact 8" ? If it is a small fraction over (as in a metric "equivalent") it may not work with the SawStop safety brake. The 8" Dadonator works perfectly in the Sawstop when paired the the 8" dado cartridge. We have been using one in our Sawstop PCS for years.

No, not all tablesaws will accept a dado stack. we strongly recommend referring to the saws owners manual before trying to use a dado set on your jobsite style tablesaw.

Yes, with a 5/8" arbor and standard 4500 RPM arbor speed, the 8" Dadonator would be an excellent choice for the Laguna Fusion.

The outside blades on your dado sets look like they would cause a lot of chipped edges when cutting dados across the grain in plywood. I would instead expect these to be blades with a high tooth count. Please explain. See more »
5 years ago
Each outer blade on our Dadonator sets has 24 teeth with a combination of raker and top bevel teeth designed to score material for extremely clean and smooth cross-grain cuts. Because a dado must allow multiple blades to nest together there is a limitation to how many teeth can fit on the outer blades. Also, tooth geometry is typically more important than tooth count. We believe our Dadonator sets produce the highest quality cuts of any on the market, and we are happy to back that up with our satisfaction guarantee. https://www.infinitytools.com/guarantee/
