Wood, cardboard, most plastics, and metal will bond permanently to the cured epoxy unless coated with a dedicated mold release agent. When building custom molds, use melamine board or line the form with packing tape, which epoxy does not adhere to.

For pours over a quart or so, hand-stirring is not fast enough to achieve truly uniform color before the pot life begins to tick down.
