MPOWER Strop Polishing Wax

$8.90

Grit

Take your sharpening from “good” to “scary sharp.” MPOWER Strop Polishing Wax is the final step in your honing process, delivering a refined, mirror-like edge on chisels, plane irons, knives, and more. Infinity Tools is proud to offer this professional-grade stropping compound to help you get the absolute best performance from your cutting tools.

Why Strop Polishing Wax Matters

Even after traditional sharpening, your edge still has microscopic burrs and scratches. Loading a leather strop with polishing wax removes those last imperfections, smooths the bevel, and leaves an edge that cuts cleaner and lasts longer. This is how you get that truly razor-ready finish.

Available Grits

  • 1800# Grit: Finishing compound for general polishing and burr removal.
  • 2500# Grit: Fine compound for edge refinement and shine.
  • 5000# Grit: Super-fine compound for ultimate mirror polish and maximum sharpness.

Choose the bar that matches your stage of sharpening, or keep multiple bars on hand and step up through finer grits to dial in a true showpiece edge.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Fast, controlled cut: Abrasive polishing compound in a wax bar format gives you consistent results without the mess.
  • Pro-quality edges: Ideal for woodworking tools like bench chisels and hand plane irons, as well as knives and specialty blades.
  • Easy to apply: Just rub the bar directly onto your leather or synthetic strop to charge the surface.
  • Extends tool life: A cleaner, smoother cutting edge reduces friction, heat, and premature dulling.

How to Use

  1. Apply a light coat of compound by rubbing the bar along the strop surface.
  2. Lay the bevel of your tool on the strop and pull the cutting edge away from the direction of travel. Do not push the edge into the strop.
  3. Repeat with smooth, even strokes until the edge is polished.
  4. For best results, dedicate each strop surface to a single grit so you don’t cross-contaminate.
