Infinity Tools 5-Pc. Setup Block Kit For Box Joint Jig, BJJ-001

$22.90

The key to tight-fitting box joints is an accurate setup. The width of the key, distance between the key and saw blade (or router bit), and the width of the saw blade (or bit) must all be identical. Our new box joint jig setup gauges make this an easy task. The HDPE (high-density polyethylene) gauges won't harm the delicate edges of your saw blade or router bit. Simply place the notch of the gauge over the key to adjust the key's width. Then position the key so that the edge of the gauge just contacts the edge of the blade or bit.

Our gauges are a full 3/8" thick and come in a complete set of 5 in 1/8" increments with the measurement engraved on each.

Sizes Included:

  • 1/4"
  • 3/8"
  • 1/2"
  • 5/8"
  • 3/4"

Uses in your shop:

  • These gauges were designed for our BJJ-001 Box Joint Jig but work equally well for setting up any box joint jig on the table saw or router table.
  • A must-have for reducing setup time when cutting box joints.

The setup blocks are an inexpensive, accurate and time saving addition to the box joint jig.

The setup blocks make it easier to change sizes. Multiple adjustments are no longer necessary.

How do you determine the optimum size of the box joint, or the range of sizes that would work, for the size of the board you want to use? See more »

The size of the fingers in a box joint is ultimately a personal preference, and the fingers will become wide as the box grows taller for ascetic reasons. Structurally the more fingers there are in a box joint the stranger the joint will be because of the additional glue surface up to the point that the fingers themselves become overly thin and loose strength.
