The Triton TRA001 Dual Mode Plunge Router features a powerful 2100W (3-1/4 hp) electronically controlled motor with soft start technology and is perfect for both table-mounted and hand held use. One of its most useful features is the rack and pinion trunion system that allows the router to switch from Fixed Base to Plunge Router by just pressing a button. Another very convenient feature is the rapid height adjustment system that allows the plunge return spring to be quickly removed so you can mount the router in your table and use the 'above the table' micro adjuster. For enhanced safety, the automatic spindle lock will only engage when the power switch safety cover is closed. This ensures that the router can not be accidentally turned on while switching router bits. But our favorite feature is how quickly it can go from hand held to table mounted operation. Simply mount it to the pre-drilled Infinity Tools Aluminum Router Plate (item RTI-INF1) and install it in your router table. Now you've got a powerful table mounted routing station for even the most demanding jobs.
