The secret to this dustless functionality is the central air inlet which creates even suction across the entire pad surface.
Weighing only 2.3 pounds, the Direct Electric Random Orbit Sander is not only one of the smoothest operating sanders we've ever used, it's also one of the quietest thanks to its revolutionary brushless motor design. By engineering a handheld unit with a built-in power converter, Mirka has created a sander that is easy to control without sacrificing power. The DEROS performs comparably to a 500W electric machine in a 400W DC package, so it's able to maintain a constant speed, even under a heavy workload. With a large 3/16" orbit, the user has a wide oscillation area that reduces the appearance of pattern far better than other random orbit sanders. The Deros provides the ergonomics and feel of an air powered sander is a quieter package that does not require a giant air compressor to run.
The DEROS is available in both 5” and 6” models.
