Circular saws are great tools, but they're not usually considered to be "finished" woodworking tools. Until you add a quality track saw guide! Then you can rely on splinter-free, straight and accurate cuts from your old friend.
The Milescraft Track Saw Guide set includes two 26-1/2" saw tracks and connectors. the universal saw base and saw blade spacer, as well as two clamps and four saw clips. Made with rigid aluminum construction, this is a well-made guide with little plastic in sight!
The two included tracks will cut up to 50" (cross cut any 4' x 8' sheet), and can be extended with the addition of rail extensions.
The aluminum sled includes four highly adjustable hold-down clamps to fit nearly all 7-1/4" circular saws (sorry, no worm-drive saws!).
With the clamps swung out of the way, the saw is lowered (with the saw unplugged and the blade guard held out of the way) onto the base. The saw blade spacer helps locate the saw on the base before clamping in place.
While not always a requirement, the two included deep-jaw clamps slide along the track to hold things tight for nearly any project.
The red cutting strip acts as a guide to align the to your cutting marks. It also prevents chipping and splintering.
