Famag #2 Morse Taper for 10mm Hex Shank Forstner Bits

This premium quality Famag #2 morse taper is designed for mounting a Forstner bit on your lathe, for horizontal boring.

The #2 Morse taper is a type of taper shank used in machine tools, such as drills and lathes. It's part of the Morse taper system, which is a standardized set of taper angles designed to securely hold tools and attachments in place. The #2 Morse taper has a specific angle and diameter that allows it to fit snugly into corresponding #2 Morse taper sockets.

In practical terms, if you have a tool with a #2 Morse taper shank, it will fit into a #2 Morse taper holder or spindle, allowing for accurate and stable operation. The Morse taper system is used to minimize the need for additional clamping or tightening mechanisms, relying instead on the self-locking nature of the tapered fit.

Product was as advertised. Just wish that a cheaper method of shipping was offered to Canadian clients. Shipping cost more than item purchased….

I have 3 of these now, Infinity Tools is the only place I've found in the US that sells them. I've referred a lot of people to Infinity to get this, it works with any 3/8" round or hex shank Forstner bit. I use it when drilling the body of peppermill blanks. The extension keeps the bit rigid with less flex than if using a Jacobs chuck, plus I can drill deeper without using a Forstner bit extension.
