Bandsaw
These guides are made from a high tech, non-metallic composite material, "Graphite Impregnated Phenolic Laminate" which contains three synthetic dry lubricants that lubricate the blade but do not leave it oily. The metal to metal contact made by old metal guide blocks creates heat and friction which cause premature blade wear and breakage.

These problems are eliminated with Cool Blocks® blade guides which allow blades to run cooler and last longer with less friction.

The cool blocks probably work, but there is no way to attach them to my Jet 16” bandsaw. I know the cool blocks are for a 14” Jet bandsaw, but I thought I’d try them on the 16” machine. I was wrong. I’ll probably send them back for a refund.

The Multi Layer Inlay Systems are designed to be decorative and make inlays up to roughly 1/4" thick. Depending on the size of the crack needing to be stabilized they may or not be an ideal choice.
