Betterly Tru-Cut Zero Clearance Tablesaw Insert System

Regular price $99.90

Tablesaw Model

Don't replace the entire throat plate - just put in a new insert!

By not supporting your stock close to the saw blade's teeth the standard throat plate will allow your workpiece to chip and tear on the bottom of the cut. Worse yet, small pieces can fall in the gap between blade and saw creating a dangerous kickback situation or even ruing your saw blade.

Precision machined from solid aluminum, these Tru-Cut™ inserts are guaranteed to never twist warp or bend. They will dramatically reduce unsightly tearout and chipping along the edge of your cut and make your stock come out smoother than ever before. The system includes one aluminum throat plate that has been specially machined to fit into a select number of common table saws. Also included is one phenolic insert that features leveling screws which allow for a perfectly flush fit on your saw. Each throat plate comes with one insert.

Major advantages over your standard insert include:

  • Supports workpiece right up to the blade
  • Greatly reduced chip-out & splintering
  • Reduces sawdust expelled from table top
  • Reduces saw noise

More great features:

  • Excellent durability & resistance to wear
  • Don't replace the entire throat plate - just put in a new phenolic insert
  • Will remain flat and true, unlike wood or plastic inserts
  • Melamine surface has high lubricity for frictionless sliding
  • Higher density for reduced vibration
  • Pre-cut starter pocket
  • Finger hole for easy removal
  • Instructions included

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a zero-clearance insert and why use one?

A zero-clearance insert closes the gap around the blade so your stock is supported right up to the teeth, which greatly reduces chip-out and splintering. Explore more table saw accessories.

What is the Tru-Cut insert made from?

The throat plate is precision-machined from solid aluminum and is guaranteed never to twist, warp, or bend, unlike wood or plastic inserts.

Do I have to replace the whole throat plate?

No. The aluminum throat plate stays in place, and you simply put in a new phenolic insert when the old one wears, saving money over replacing the entire plate.

How does the insert get a flush fit?

The phenolic insert features leveling screws that let you adjust it for a perfectly flush fit with your saw table.

Does it fit my table saw?

The throat plate is specially machined to fit a select number of common table saws. Check that your model is supported before ordering. Browse related hardware and accessories.

How does it improve safety?

By supporting the workpiece up to the blade and closing the gap, it prevents small pieces from falling in and creating a dangerous kickback situation. Pair it with push blocks and featherboards for added control.

Will it reduce noise and dust?

Yes. Among its advantages, the insert helps reduce saw noise and cuts down on the amount of sawdust expelled from the table top.

What surface does the insert have?

It has a melamine surface with high lubricity for frictionless sliding, plus higher density that helps reduce vibration during cuts.

How do I start using the insert?

The insert includes a pre-cut starter pocket, so you raise the blade through it to create your zero-clearance slot. Instructions are included, and a finger hole makes removal easy.

What comes in the box?

The system includes one aluminum throat plate, one phenolic insert with leveling screws, and instructions. Each throat plate comes with one insert.
