Each bit boasts the same German-engineered construction—black‑oxide protection, premium alloy tool steel, and a micro‑grain carbide layer built to stay sharp up to ten times longer.

These carbide‑tipped bits cut with surgical cleanliness, thanks to the precision raking tooth designed to eliminate tear‑out and edge splintering on all types of wood, particleboard, and melamine.

Designed for fast, efficient work without sacrificing quality, they endure high RPM drilling, reducing clogs, burns, and effort—whether you're working handheld or on a machine.

Most woodworkers are familiar with Forstner bits, specifically designed to create precise, clean, flat-bottomed holes, and much cleaner than a spade bit. How could they get any better? By adding carbide!

These Famag Bormax Forstner bits have a solid carbide, 3/32”-thick chipper, running the full diameter of the bit. The center spur is milled into that chipper, making it part of the solid piece. The side spurs are canted at a negative shear angle, compared to the shear angle of the main cutter. The carbide scoring teeth are set just below the perimeter, creating a scoring cut to prevent tear out. The micro-grain carbide bits maintain a sharp cutting edge up to ten times longer than standard tool steel, and deliver clean and splinter-free holes.

These Forstner bits are ideal for use in handheld drills, drill presses, and lathe applications and are offered in eight sizes ...

... or in a money-saving set, complete with storage case.

These bits work efficiently in a variety of materials, including softwoods and hardwoods with precise, clean cuts.

And these carbide forstner bits are just as efficient in particleboard, melamine and even solid surface materials.

Kick your Forsnter bit performance up a couple of notches with carbide-tipped Forstners from Famag.
