How do the stops work when adding a board to the aluminum extrusion?

The flip stops are designed to attach directly to your fence and rest firmly against it. They do not offer adjustability (in or out) to accommodate placing boards between the stops and the fence. The stops will maintain a fixed position once installed on the fence and tightened down.
