How does the bearing option affect the 59-501? I need it for a full-depth window stool profile on 5/4 stock.

Can you please tell me how the bearing option plays in to the selection of 59-501? I am trying to evaluate the need for including it in my order. I am buying it to put a window stool profile on a piece of 5/4 stock, so it would be the full depth of the bit as I understand your detailed measurement diagram. I plan to use a router table

The bearing is used when following a template and can be helpful in some situations for setting a fence.
