I need to cut tongue and groove on maple flooring but can't get the router bit low enough. Any solutions? Infinity Tools 1/2" Shank Floor Making Router Bit Sets

I have an existing maple floor that I would like to cut tongue and groove along old installed maple flooring to butt new 4" maple flooring with a tongue cut on the ends up against it for about 25 ft. My problem is that a regular router bit has a nut at the end so that I cannot get it down to the proper elevation using a hand router because the sub-floor prohibits the it being vertical and cutting at the correct depth. Is there a solution to this problem?

One possible solution would be our Slip Tongue Flooring bits item 05-127B. The slip tongue bit when used in conjunction with our Bull Nose Router bit Item 54-520 would allow you to tie new flooring into existing flooring by creating a slip tongue joint.
