Which bit is best for cutting a 2 3/4” thick hardwood table top with a plunge router? Thanks!

I'm going to be cutting out a round hardwood table top that is 2 3/4" thick with my plunge router. Which bit would be best to purchase for this? Thank you!

It sounds like you are going to need a fairly long bit to get through such a thick top assuming you want to make the cut from one side. I would recommend taking a look at 85-915 Upcut bit and see if it will work for you. You will need to make multiple passes and depending on your setup you may need to start with a shorter bit like the 85-907. I recommend using an upcut as it will help pull the router toward the workpiece.
