I have your 06-694 pattern mega-bit, but hope to pattern cut two 5/4 hard maple pieces that will be glazed together (leg blank) 5/4. Will this 2" bit (or the mega 2" bit) accommodate the combined material thickness. If so, which do you recommend for this project?

Assuming that your combine thickness will remain over 2" you would still be able to use the 2" Mega Flush Trim but you would need to remove the top or bottom bearing, make an initial pass. Then raise the bit the remainder and make a second pass with the bearing riding on the surface created by the first pass. I hope that makes sense. depending on your total thickness, you may be able to use this method with the 1-1/4" tall mega flush trim bit you currently have.
