What’s the advantage of a 1.5" diam. mega flush trim router bit over a 3/4" diam. bit? I use a 3.25 hp router.

What is the advantage in using the 1 1/2" diam. 2" cutter ht. mega flush trim router bit over the 3/4" diam. 2" cutter ht. bit ?? I'm using a 3 1/4 h.p. variable speed table mounted router.

The larger diameter improves the cutting action of the bit by creating a shallower angle of attack. In turn this helps reduce chipping and tearout when routing into the grain or in figured woods.
