Recommended RPM for the 52-506 Mega Dado and Planer Router bit with a 3.5 HP router? Is 13,000 RPM suitable?
Infinity Tools 1/4" Shank Dado Router Bit
What is recommended RPM for 52-506 Mega Dado and Planer Router bit using 3.5 HP router to level slabs? Typically taking about 3/16"-1/4" deep, almost full-width cut. I have two of these bits, I enjoy them, but I'm wondering whether 13,000 RPM is about right or could/should it be run faster.

The recommended RPM for the Mega Dado and planer bit would be between 16,000 and 18,000 rpm. For slab flattening we recommend 50% pass at 1/8" to 3/16" depth of cut. This will yield the best finish quality and bit life. These are basic guidelines that can be modified depending on wood species and individual pieces.
