How do you get different wood types for compass points with the template? The butterfly video doesn’t help here.
Infinity Tools Multi Layer Inlay System - 10" Compass Rose
I don't understand how you get the two different types of wood for the compass points with the template. The video that you have is for the butterfly and makes sense but that one has you flip the template over which offsets the wing but in this case flipping the compass does not do any good. So how do you do it since the cutout is for the entire point and not just half?

To use 2 contrasting material for the compass rose notice the template has reference marks on the points of the compass both the large and the small points. After your pocket is created, the contrasting material is placed back to back along a flat edge, align and attach the template on the contrasting material referencing the reference marks on the template and cut your inlay. this will give you both sides of the compass point with contrasting material.
