The threads cut into wood are very strong. Please refer to the video above. We tapped eye-loops into a 2x4 and suspended our router table system in the air using only these taps.
For furniture making, is applying Minwax Wood Hardener advisable for strengthening thread areas? Infinity Tools 1/4"-20 Wood Tap
Someone building furniture or making another woodworking project might be concerned about the strength of the threads. It made me wonder if it would be smart to apply something like "Minwax Wood Hardener,"
