Why can’t the optional 4-corner screws be used with the RTI-DIY router table kit? How does the side plunger work?

Not to fear, the Infinity Tools Router Plate (RTI-INF1) features three stainless steel side plungers that actively prevent your plate from moving in the table opening".

In order to use the four corner hold-down screws in the Jessem and Infinity lifts and plates you will need to create a block or bracket. The rabbet will not have enough material in the corners to install a threaded inserts like our found on an Infinity Professional Router Table Top
