As long as all metal parts can be removed from the area being routed and the template is located accurately I don't see why not.
Will this template route an 8-1/4" opening to fit a 9-1/4" plate? Infinity Tools 5-Pc. Router Insert Plate Template Package
Will this template work to route and existing table with a 8-1/4" opening? I want to widen it to fit the 9-1/4" plate.
