each remote will need to be programmed to control a specific dust collectors you would need one remote for each. You can run up to 4 ivac systems in your shop. Each controlling a separate dust collector and 8 tools and blast gates. If you want to have more than 8 tools controlling a specific dust collector, you could set up a zone where 2 or more tools share a single automated blast gate. In this situation My recommendation would be to add an additional dust collector to the shop to avoid the loss of efficiency from having such a large duct system tied to a single collector.
