It depends on how they are programmed. If you follow the instructions for programming that are included, one gate will always remain open to prevent damage to the system. The gate that stays open when everything is turned off is the "home gate". If you turn on the Bandsaw, the gate for the bandsaw will open and the "home gate" will close. If multiple machines are running at the same time, the gates for all running machines will stay open and will close only when the specific machine is turned off. When the last machine is turned off, the "home gate" will open before the last gate closes.
