Both Triton routers are identical in function. We have been selling and using Triton routers now for over 5 years and have never had an issue with the on/off switch other than user error. The Triton basically has a neutral safety switch attached to the power switch, if you force the collet above the table with the power switch in the "on" position you will brake the tool. This is only an issue if you don't read the owners manual and subscribe to the get a bigger hammer mentality.
