Yes you would need to add a valve somewhere into the system, the venturi is self venting so when it is switched off it will allow air to flow back through the system.
Can I shut off the airflow while maintaining pressure with this venturi? Do I need a valve between the gauge and venturi? Venturi Vacuum System
If I wanted to use this venturi to vacuum test a vessel, is there a way to shut off the air flow while maintaining pressure? Would I have to add a valve in between the gauge and the venturi?
