The difference between the setup block and the and the Lock Miter Jig is the set up block is designed for 3/4" material only, where the set up block will allow for different stock thicknesses depending on the bit used. The Lock Miter Jr. 55-502 will work with stock 3/8" to 3/4". The Lock Miter Sr. 55-503 will work with stock 3/4" to 1- 3/16" .
