The Lumber Wizard 4 can detect larger metal pieces up to 5" deep and is sensitive enough to find a staple up to 3/8" deep into your workpiece. It sounds like it should be able to do most of what you need.
Does the Lumber Wizard 4 detect metal banding inside a lumber unit? I need to check for staples/nails in culls before running them through machines. Lumber Wizard 5 - Detector de metales para carpintería con línea láser
I am curious if The Lumber Wizard 4 is designed to pick up metal banded within a whole unit of lumber at all? Reason for asking is we sometimes have culls that we run through machines and would like to be able to test a unit see if somehow staples/nails are on the inside of the unit. Looking to make our operation safer.
