Is the small bit for 2 opposing box sides and the large for the other 2? Or is the large bit for 1/2" material? Infinity Tools 1/2" Shank Lapped Miter Joint Router Bit Set w/ 3/4" Setup Block

Is the small diameter bit used for 2 opposing sides of the box and the larger diameter bit used for the other 2 opposing sides. Am I understanding that correctly? Or is the large diameter bit used for 1/2 " material.

Think of the Lapped Miter router bit set as male and female. While the two pieces technically do not lock together, the large diameter bit is used to machine one part and the small diameter bit is used to machine the corresponding part.
