What’s the shank size on these bits? Can smaller bits be used in a portable drill for teak deck bungs? Infinity Tools 7-Pc. Carbide Tipped Forstner Bit Set

What is the shank size on these bits? Why couldn't the smaller bits be used in a portable drill? I have used large bits of this type in a large portable angle drill to bore holes for plumbing in framed walls. I have to drill out some teak deck bungs on a wooden boat and cannot use a drill press for that job. Any better suggestions?

We recommend these bits for use in drill press or lathe only because they are carbide and more likely to be damaged by vibration than a steel bit. For hand held use in small sizes I would recommend taking a look at the Colt forstner bits we offer. https://www.infinitytools.com/colt-ma...
