The laser Thin Kerf Blade has a maximum depth of cut of 2" . If using a ZCI me sure to account for its thickness when figuring your practical cutting height. In most cases you should be able to cut dimensioned 8/4 stock. With the built in blade stiffeners the blade should have no issues cutting hardwoods like maple, white oak, or exotics.
