Can these bearings be used as top bearings? That is, on the shank of the bit?
Infinity Tools 1/4" I.D. Router Bit Bearing Sets
I need to trace a template so that the bit's edge is 3/8" away from the template edge, so I basically need a very wide bearing. Bit the bearing has to be on the shaft of the bit. Can these bearings work like this?

The Infinity Tools 1/4" I.D. Router Bit Bearing Sets can be utilized as either a top or bottom bearing. When used as a top bearing on the shank of the bit, a stop collar is required to retain the bearing. Please note, stop collars are not included in the kit but are available for purchase separately.
